Configuring Alert Notifications In VisNetic MailFlow

This article explains the necessary steps to configure alert notifications in VisNetic MailFlow. Alerts are warning messages sent to particular agents/groups when a specific event occurs, such as low disk space, product registration, outbound delivery problem, etc.

From the VisNetic MailFlow Interface:

  1. Click the Administration link
  2. Click the Alert Configuration link under the Server configuration section
  3. Click Add from the Alert Configuration toolbar to add a new event. There are already some selected default events to alert the administrator account. These default entries can be edited or deleted if they are not desired. To delete the entry, click the [x] button to the right of the event entry.
  4. Use the drop-down arrow to select the desired event for the new entry under the Event column
  5. Use the drop-down arrow to select the ticketbox to apply the event to. Any TicketBox will apply the event to all ticketboxes by default.
  6. Use the drop-down arrow to select the delivery method for the alert. If the recipient of the alert is a local user, then the default Internal method is desired.
  7. Use the drop-down arrow to select whether to send the alert to an Agent or Group under the Recipient column
  8. Use the drop-down arrow to select the particular agent or group to aler
  9. Click the Save button on the Alert Configuration toolbar
