Answer VisNetic MailServer v7

The option Use Account Defaults, under the menu item Accounts, Options, specifies to use the default.ini when adding a new user. The new user will be added with the defaults specified in this file.

From the VisNetic MailServer Configuration console:
  1. Select the Accounts, Options
  2. Enable the option Use Account Defaults
  3. Select Account Defaults under Options and it will open up the Default.Ini file when the file is saved in the following format, 0=No 1=Yes unless the line is = to a path or limit. This is only an example of the file.

    [Default]
    LimitMailboxSize=0
    LimitMailboxSizeValue=2048
    LocalMailOnly=0
    DeleteMailOlder=0
    DeleteMailOlderValue=60
    RespondWith=0
    RespondWithFile=
    NTPassword=0
    AllowSelfConfiguration=0
    ValidityWarningFile=
    IMAP4=0
    MegabyteSendLimit=0
    NumberSendLimit=0
    AntiSpamIndex=2
    MaxMessageSize=0
    MailingListModerated=1

  4. When you are finished editing the file, select File|Save and exit the file.
  5. You will also need to click Save from the Configuration console in the bottom right hand corner.
  6. If you do not see the option you want to set go to the \examples\ folder under the installation directory for VisNetic MailServer and open the example default.ini file and look for the option. Use the example to modify the default.ini file above.
