Answer
Kerio Appliance does not have any limit for number of network interfaces. However the limit may be applied by the version of virtual hardware of the VMware which can limit this number to 4, 8 or more interfaces depending on the version of VMware hardware host and VMware server.
Additional information for the VMWare and Hyper-V virtual machines limitations may be found at:
http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1003746
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj680093.aspx
It is possible to check the VMware virtual hardware version on appliance summary page.
VM version: 4 supports four NIC adapters
VM version: 7 supports eight NIC adapters
In order to upgrade to newer version of VMware hardware, right click the appropriate virtual machine while it is stopped, and choose
Upgrade Virtual Hardware
option.
