 Configuring ATRN

VisNetic MailServer offers the ability to collect mail from remote servers via ATRN. This is useful if an ISP blocks port 25, ATRN uses port 366. ATRN connections are more secure and only use a single connection to make the request and receive the mail.

  1. Select the Delivery tab (version 7) or the ETRN download option under Mail Service (version 8)
  2. Click the Use ETRN/ATRN box (version 7) or Active (version 8)
  3. Click the ETRN/ATRN button (version 7) or Add (version 8)
  4. Enter in the Hostname field the remote server’s domain name or IP address. (e.g. 123.123.123.123)
  5. Enter in the Parameters field the domain, username and password that you are collecting mail for (e.g. test.dns2go.com;user:pass)
  6. Check the ATRN box and the OK button (version 8 only)
  7. Click the Schedule button
  8. Click Add
  9. Setup the desired schedule for the ATRN to process
  10. Click OK
  11. Click OK
  12. Click Add to add the ATRN parameters (version 7 only)
  13. Click OK
  14. Click Save
