What is the difference between a static IP address and a dynamic IP address?
Solution DNS2Go

An IP address corresponds to the number your computer uses when you are online. Every computer that is connected to the Internet is given an identifying number so that it can communicate with other computers. If you have a dedicated connection to the Internet and you never go offline, you could have a static IP address. This number would be assigned to you by an Internet Service Provider and it would never change. If you are using dial-up (or switched) accounts, you are given a random number each time you connect to the Internet. These random numbers are called dynamic IP addresses and they constantly change.
