Dequeuing mail from mail.dns2go.com
Dequeuing mail from mail.dns2go.com
Solution
If your inbound port 25 is blocked, you would have to dequeue the email. Adjusting the port in the online mail manager,
http://mail.dns2go.com
, to domain.com:2525 is telling the DNS2Go mail server when you dequeue the email to return in on port 2525.
If your Outbound port 25 is not blocked, then you can use the ETRN protocol to dequeue the email. You can test your outbound 25 by issueing a telnet session to mail.dns2go.com on port 25 from a DOS prompt.
Example:
telnet mail.dns2go.com 25
If you are able to connect, then you will be returned the DNS2Go mail server information. If you are unable to connect, then you will be returned a corresponding error message.
If you are able to connect, then you can use the DNS2Go client to dequeue the email. If you are unable to connect, then you can use the ATRN protocol, which uses port 366. If your email server does not support issuing the ATRN protocol (such as Exchange) then you can use the XATRN client from the following URL:
http://www.wcsn.org.za/download.php?view.6
The parameters for the XATRN client would be:
xatrn -v -a 366 -p 366 -s domain.com mail.dns2go.com domain.com pass domain.com
Replacing "pass" with your dequeue password
