The autoreply feature of Kerio MailServer is configured in webmail.
- Log into webmail.
- Click on the Settings button located near the top of the page.
- Click on Filters and Notifications in the left column.
- Click on the button named New.
- Select For all messages as the Condition.
- Select Send autoreply as the Action.
- Click on hyperlink Reply text and type in the message you want returned to the sender.
- Click on the Save to save your rule.
The autoreply feature will send only one auto-reply to a sender every seven days. We use seven days as the default setting to prevent mail loops. You can change this by customizing the SIEVE script. First select the rule you created and then click on the "Edit" button. Change the number 7 to a lower number to decrease the time interval between autoreplies.
If you set it to 0 then Kerio MailServer will send a reply for every email it receives. Doing this could create a mail loop situation. If the sender has an autoreply configured too, then you and the sender will keep sending messages to each other forever or until you run out of hard drive space.
