How to allow access from the Internet to servers behind WinRoute Firewall.
This article will explain two types of rule configurations that will grant access to servers (web, email, etc...) on the WinRoute Firewall computer or server behind WinRoute Firewall.
Allow access from the Internet to Servers on the WinRoute Firewall computer.
Note: this example is for a Web server but can be used for other services by adding multiple Services to this rule or by creating the same type of rule for a different service.
1. Open the WinRoute Firewall Admin
2. Select Traffic Policy
3. Select Add and configured the following new rule
Note: double click the new rule column (Name, Source, etc...) to edit the rule.
- Name: Unique name describing rule
- Source: Any
- Destination: Add - Firewall Host
- Service: HTTP
- Action: Permit
Press Apply.
Allow access from the Internet to Servers behind the WinRoute Firewall computer.
1. Open the WinRoute Firewall Admin
2. Select Traffic Policy
3. Select Add and configured the following new rule

- Name: Unique name describing rule
- Source: Any
- Destination: Add - Firewall Host
- Service: HTTP
- Action: Permit
- Translation: Destination NAT (Port Mapping) - Translate to: internal IP (ex, 192.168.0.2)
Press Apply.
