An NFO file is used to report specific information about your computer. This report or NFO file will allow a Technician to review your system specifications, running processes, memory use, enabled services, Operating System details, and much more. This can be valuable information when troubleshooting complex issues.

To create an NFO file from your computer, go to Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Information. Allow it to gather your system information and select File - Save and save to file.nfo. Zip up the saved file and send to the Technician.
